ZMD sold out SIFF. thanks!

just a quick thanks to everyone who came out to see ZMD: Zombies of Mass Destruction at S.I.F.F.

two sold out screenings and third place in votes for “most popular” at siff. (but of course we know: this is not a popularity contest). i’m proud to be a part of a project that has fostered so much community support. the official site is up, and the next screenings are at L.A. film fest june 25th and 27th. the trailer is in the post a bit down the page….

adobe has a new mini-site up, with a piece about designer/artist nando costa. watch the interview for some insight into his creative flow, including a bit on his collaboration with sound designer and musician darrin weiner aka plastiq phantom. i’ve had the pleasure of collaborating with both of them on various projects, including all of us at once for the ‘tubes’ video (and accompanying 12″):

congrats, dudes!

ZMD, at long last, ZMD

as hinted at eons ago, i was hard at work on a new feature length score. i wrapped my portion of work last summer and at long last the film is starting to make the rounds at film festivals. the trailer has recently been posted on the ‘tube:

zombies! blood! gore! comedy! more gore! it was a lot of work and i’m proud of the musical result…a great mix of classic horror strings, campy synth arpeggios, and persian percussion. its showing at Film Fest D.C. and Seattle International Film Festival among others. i’ll post as soon as i have some dates.

ableton user group

i’m presenting at the upcoming seattle live user group meeting. details after the jump. of additional note is that the presentation will be done using examples from my latest scoring project, the upcoming feature film Z.M.D. (i’ll post a link to the trailer soon):

all extant versions here, of course.

new spot for becks

a new spot has been posted in the adverts section and at last, it is for a product i can stand behind! director christian loubek knocked another one out of the park with this one. disparate, yet still brilliant photography. there was an earlier cut with biz markie making an appearance, but alas he seemed to have ended up on the cutting room floor.

i’m in yr filez, making you beatz

yep. that’s right. uh huh. totally.
